About Pyrostar Entertainment

Our Team

Owners

PyroStar Entertainment is a family-owned, husband-and-wife operation led by Frank and Tori Terzino. Together, they bring hands-on experience, creative vision, and a passionate, detail-driven approach to every project.

Frank is directly involved in all aspects of show design, planning, and on-site execution. With years of experience and multi-state licensing, he oversees everything from initial concepts and logistics to final execution, remaining closely involved throughout the entire process to ensure each show is delivered as planned.

Tori plays a key role across the creative and operational side of the business, contributing to show concepts and the behind-the-scenes work that keeps projects moving smoothly. Her background in design and marketing helps shape how PyroStar’s work is presented, experienced, and remembered.

Clients can feel confident knowing they are working directly with the people responsible for their event. This allows for a level of care and service that’s difficult to achieve in larger, layered organizations.

Pyrotechnicians & Crew Members

The real heroes behind every successful project are our teams of dedicated pyrotechnicians and their crews. They give up weekends, holidays, and time with their families to do demanding work that often goes unseen. Long days are spent hauling heavy equipment in the heat, handling live explosives, and meticulously setting up shows that may only last a few minutes. After the final shell is fired and the crowd has gone home, they remain on site for hours to break everything down and clean it all up.

But that brief moment when the show ends and the crowd erupts with applause, that is the moment that makes it all worth it! Knowing they helped create a magical and unforgettable experience for thousands of people is what drives them to do it again and again.

PyroStar Entertainment is blessed to have so many talented and hardworking people on our team. They are the heart and soul of our operations and THE REAL TEAM PYROSTAR

Our Story

As a person who has been passionate about fireworks since I was a kid, I could not wait to bring my daughter to her very first professional firework show. Long story short, we had a terrible experience, which left my daughter disappointed and me heartbroken. Doing what any good father would do, I decided to take it into my own hands.

The next morning, I reached out to a local company and started my journey to become a pyrotechnician. My plan was to get my license so that I could put on the big firework show my daughter deserved to see. While going through the that process and doing apprentice work for a large national company, I noticed that there was zero creative thought put into their shows. They were just giving the client a certain number of firework shells with no rhyme or reason as to how they were fired. I remember thinking that if it I ever owned a fireworks company, it would be different...

THE SPARK

Our backyard 4th of July show had become something quite spectacular. Every year it seemed to just get bigger and more elaborate. On July 4th, 2018, my wife and I decided to use our annual 4th of July show to make a surprise announcement of our 2nd miracle baby. By this time, our simple backyard show had grown into a full-blown pyro musical. As the end of the show neared, and all of our family and friends were captivated, the music subtly announced our pregnancy. In an instant, a barrage of pink and blue fireworks filled the sky as everyone tried to grasp what was happening. Luckily, my sister captured the moment on film perfectly.

I have since watched that clip more times than I can count. It was one of the best moments of my life, and a feeling that I will never forget. That feeling is what made me decide that I wanted to start my own fireworks company, but not like the shell counters from my previous experience. I wanted to create a company that treats every show with the same care and creativity I’d give my own family and friends, because that's the way it should be.

(Update 2026)

While updating our website, I was reading back over the "Our Story" section, and I can't believe it has been 8 years since THE SPARK! I still remember that feeling and am just as passionate about our mission now as I was then. Clearly our choice to break from the industry standard "shell counters" was the right one, as our approach has propelled us to a level of success that I never thought would be possible. It's been a wild ride so far, and an absolute privilege to be a part of so many epic events. I am eternally grateful to be here, and I look forward to what the next 8 years will bring.

P.S

I still watch the video.
